    2. Do you offer Free Shipping? If so, what are the conditions?

    Yes, we offer a Free Shipping service for Melbourne CBD & metro areas, regardless of the number of items on a Purchase Order. This offer applies to a single address delivery location and does not extend to multiple addresses per order.

    Additionally, Sydney and Adelaide orders over $2500 are also eligible for Free Shipping. This applies to a single address delivery location as well.

    * Free Shipping does not apply to difficult deliveries (See No. 12)


    3. How long will it take to receive my order?

    • Local orders (Melbourne): Delivered within 2–10 working days.
    • Interstate orders: Delivered within 2–6 weeks, depending on the destination and courier schedules.

    4. Do you deliver to my area/postcode?

    We deliver to the following areas:

    5. Do you offer same-day or express delivery?

    We currently do not offer same-day or express delivery. However, for Melbourne local deliveries, we may be able to expedite your order depending on logistics. Contact us to discuss your needs.


    Tracking & Delivery

    6. How can I track my order?

    Some couriers provide tracking systems, while others liaise directly with us.

    • We will notify you a few days in advance with an approximate delivery ETA.
    • The courier will contact you within 24 hours of the scheduled delivery.

    7. Will I be notified when my order is dispatched or about to be delivered?

    Yes, we will notify you a few days in advance and provide the ETA. Couriers also confirm delivery within 24 hours of arrival.


    8. What happens if I am not home when my order arrives?

    If you’re not home, your order will be left at your front door.

    Important: Once delivered & left unattended, we cannot provide insurance for loss or theft.

    We recommend ensuring someone is available to receive your order.


    9. Can I choose a specific delivery date or time?

    • For Melbourne deliveries, we offer some flexibility but cannot guarantee specific times.
    • For interstate deliveries, dates and times are managed by courier schedules. Couriers will confirm delivery within 24 hours of arrival.

    10. Will the delivery team assemble my furniture?

    Most furniture is factory-fitted and does not require assembly. However, items such as Dining Tables (detachable legs), or Beds, for example, require straightforward assembly. 

    For local Melbourne deliveries, we offer a complimentary assembly service for added convenience.


    Policies & Conditions

    11. What is your Return Policy for shipped items?

    Please refer to our Returns Policy page for details.


    12. Do you deliver to apartments or multi-storey buildings?

    Yes, but please notify us in advance of any obstructions, such as:

    • Driveway limitations
    • Narrow staircases
    • Apartment blocks without lift access
    • Loading Bay Access

    NOTE: An additional surcharge of $20–$80 may apply for difficult residential or multi-level dwelling deliveries


    13. Are there any additional charges for remote or rural areas?

    14. Do you deliver internationally?

    No, we do not ship internationally.


    15. What should I do if my furniture arrives damaged or defective?

    For New Furniture Items:

    1. Inspect your furniture upon delivery       
    2. Take clear photos of any damage or defects     
    3. Contact us within 48 hours with photos & order details to mail@directfurnitureclearance.com.au

    We will assist with repair, replacement or a refund as needed.

    For Clearance Furniture Items:

    Although we inspect all goods before they are sold, Direct Furniture Clearance takes no responsibility for any blemishes or imperfections. However, if there are any structural issues, we will take full responsibility and provide a full refund for the amount paid.


    Preparing for Delivery

    16. Do I need to prepare anything for the delivery?

    • Clear the Pathway: Ensure the delivery team has unobstructed access.
    • Measure Doorways: Confirm your furniture will fit through all access points.
    • Notify Us: Inform us of any access challenges (e.g., narrow staircases).

    17. Will the delivery team remove my old furniture?

    No, we do not offer furniture removal services. Please arrange disposal prior to delivery.


    18. What if the furniture doesn’t fit through my door or into my home?

    Measure access points in advance. If the furniture cannot fit, additional fees may apply. Contact us for item dimensions if needed.


    Custom Orders

    19. Can I delay my delivery if my home isn’t ready yet?

    • Clearance Items: We can hold for up to 4 weeks at no cost. Afterward, a $25/week fee applies.
    • New Furniture: No holds are available; items are dispatched as scheduled.
